Sjøtveit camping

Sjøtveit Camping is strategic situated for activities in Tinn municipality.

 

There is a local exhibition about 5 minutes down the road where you'll find the cultural side of Tinn Austbygde. All the pieces on show are for sale, so if something catches your eye you can take it back home with you. They offer treework, pictorial art, knives, glass/porcelain, jewlry, rosepainting and alot more. The exhibition is open during the summer. There is a similar exhibition in Atrå, which is open all year.

 

The camping site is situated close to the Tinnsjø lake, which opens for activities like swimming, rowing and fishing.

 

Approx. 900 meters from the site you will find a convenience store, bank, gas station and a bakery. The bakery is well known for their good bread.

 

Only a half an hours drive will bring you to Hardangervidda. You can choose Tessungdalen which leads to Geilo.

You can also choose Kalhovd, in which is a perfect start for a walk in the mountains.

 

If you want a walk to Gaustatoppen or to experience the city of Rjukan, 30 minutes driving from the camping site, it is possible to combine with a stay in peaceful environments at Sjøtveit Camping.
